Food Delivery Platform for a London FoodTech Startup

How We Built a Full-Stack Kosher Food Delivery Platform for a London FoodTech Startup
- Our client — the team behind both Ding and Swiftee in London — had a clear vision: give London’s Kosher food community a dedicated, beautifully designed app to discover and order from their favourite restaurants, with live courier tracking and a seamless end-to-end experience.
- Leveraging Swiftee’s existing courier network, they needed a complete greenfield product built from scratch. We delivered all of it. Today the platform has processed over 150,000 orders, lists 65 Kosher restaurants, has been downloaded by over 7,500 users across iOS and Android, and consistently delivers food within 30 minutes.
The Client
- Ding Kosher Ltd & Swiftee Ltd — London, UK
- Dedicated Kosher food delivery marketplace Courier network already live via Swiftee 65 restaurants, 7,500+ users, 150K+ orders

Challenges Moving Companies Face
London's Kosher community is tight-knit and highly specific in its dietary and religious requirements. Mainstream delivery platforms offered no meaningful Kosher-specific experience — no trusted vendor curation, no community focus. Restaurants had no digital channel to reach these customers, and customers had no reliable way to discover and order from verified Kosher vendors in one place. Our client had the courier infrastructure through Swiftee — but no customer-facing product, no vendor management system, and no operational backend to run a multi-restaurant delivery marketplace.
Food Community
No dedicated platform for the Kosher food community — customers relied on generic apps with zero Kosher filtering or vendor trust signals
Multi-vendor Complexity
A multi-vendor marketplace requires complex commission, payout and order-dispatch logic that off-the-shelf solutions could not handle
Logistics Integration
The client needed to launch fast and plug into the existing Swiftee courier network — not rebuild logistics from scratch
Merchant Gaps
Restaurants had no digital tools to manage menus, orders, availability or payouts
Codebase Efficiency
All three surfaces — customer app, vendor panel and admin panel — needed to work from a single, maintainable codebase to keep the build lean and fast

All-in-One Food Delivery Platform
- We designed and engineered the complete Ding platform from the ground up: a cross-platform Flutter application for customers, a vendor-facing management panel, and a comprehensive admin backend — all powered by a Laravel API running on cloud infrastructure.
- Swiftee's courier network was integrated as the delivery backbone, so the client could go live immediately without rebuilding logistics.
- Swiftee's courier network was integrated as the delivery backbone, so the client could go live immediately without rebuilding logistics.
Three Connected Products
What We The platform is a tightly integrated ecosystem. An order placed by a customer flows instantly to the restaurant's vendor panel, is dispatched through Swiftee's courier network, and is visible in real time to both the customer and the operations team in the admin panel — all from a single shared Laravel backend.
What We Engineered
Customer App (iOS, Android & Web)
A Flutter-built cross-platform app with browsable restaurant listings, full menu views, customisable orders, a gift option at checkout, live courier tracking, scheduled orders, a Stories feature for restaurant content, and self-service account management.
Multi-Vendor Marketplace
A single platform connecting customers with 65 Kosher restaurants across London, with pickup and delivery options, real-time availability and curated vendor profiles trusted by the Kosher community.
Swiftee Courier Integration
Orders are dispatched directly through Swiftee’s courier network, with real-time tracking surfaced to the customer in the app — removing any gap between order placement and delivery visibility.
Admin Panel
A powerful operations hub with commission management, automated invoice generation, payout tracking, order dispatch control, and analytics dashboards giving the client full visibility across all restaurants, orders and revenues.
Vendor Panel
A dedicated management interface for restaurant owners to control their menu, set opening hours, manage incoming orders, view earnings and track customer feedback — all without needing technical knowledge.
Live Order Tracking & Notifications
Customers receive push notifications at every stage of their order — confirmed, being prepared, courier assigned, on the way — with a live map tracking their rider.
Payments & Checkout
Secure payment processing with Apple Pay, Google Pay and card support, plus a gift option at checkout and automatic receipts on completion.
Cloud Infrastructure
The entire platform runs on cloud servers, giving the client the reliability and scalability to handle order spikes, add new restaurants, and grow without infrastructure bottlenecks.
The Results
The Ding platform did not just digitise food ordering for the Kosher community — it created the first dedicated, trusted marketplace that this segment in London had ever had. The numbers speak clearly.
150,000+ orders processed
A live, scaled marketplace operating reliably across London from day one of launch.
65 Kosher restaurants on the platform
Covering London's full range of Kosher cuisine — shawarma, sushi, pizza, bakery, grocery, Shabbos trays, platters and flowers.
7,500+ app downloads
Across iOS (2,500+) and Android (5,000+), with strong organic growth driven by word of mouth in a tightly connected community
Consistent 30-minute delivery
Leveraging Swiftee's courier network, customers receive their orders on time, with full live tracking from pick-up to door.
One codebase, three surfaces
Flutter's cross-platform architecture meant the customer experience is consistent and maintained efficiently across iOS, Android and web.

Why It Matters for Your Project
- Ding is a case study in building a niche, community-first marketplace the right way. We did not bolt a generic food delivery template together — we designed for the specific operational and cultural needs of the Kosher food sector, integrated with a live courier network from day one, and built three interconnected products that work as one seamless platform.
- If you are building a food delivery app, a multi-vendor marketplace, or any platform that connects customers with local service providers, we bring proven product engineering experience and the full-stack depth to deliver it — mobile, web and backend — from a single, agile team.
